About the Position

New Bethel Baptist Church is seeking a dedicated, spiritually mature Pastor to lead our congregation. The Pastor will serve as the primary spiritual shepherd and administrative leader, providing biblical preaching, teaching, pastoral care, and oversight of church ministries. 

Key Responsibilities

The Pastor:

 • Shall have general oversight of the church, providing spiritual and administrative leadership.

 • Shall serve as an ex-officio member of all ministry teams. 

 • Shall be responsible for the faithful conduct of worship services, including preaching and teaching the Word of God.

 • Shall be affiliated with and supportive of the programs of the Southern Baptist Convention. 

 • Shall faithfully visit and minister to members and prospective members in their homes, nursing/assisted-care facilities, and hospitals. 

Qualifications

 • Ordained, or a candidate for ordination.

• Must meet all biblical qualifications for pastors as outlined in 1 Timothy 3:1–7.

• A good steward of personal finances, recognizing the tithe as the minimum standard of giving (1 Timothy 3:3). 

 • The pastor’s wife (if applicable) should reflect the same Christian commitment, consecration, and church loyalty.
